Welcome to the Temple4 Forest Therapy website.
Temple4 Forest Therapy is a Certified Forest Therapy Guide (FTG) with the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance (INFTA). Temple4 Forest Therapy provides services and products to you subject to the following terms, conditions, notices and disclaimers as amended from time to time at our discretion.
By accessing, browsing, utilising or booking any or all of the services and products within or provided by Temple4 Forest Therapy, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the Terms and Conditions, including the Cancellation Policy contained herein. If you do not agree with the stated Terms and Conditions or the Cancellation Policy, Temple4 Forest Therapy advises that you do not use its services.

1. Services
1.1. Temple4 Forest Therapy will facilitate guided immersions in nature in accordance with, and specified by, the International Core Curriculum for Forest Therapy.
1.2. Guiding may include gentle physical, sensory and creative activities, with the opportunity to share your experience.
1.3. Services may be provided in a group setting, where guidance may be directed to more than one individual to follow. In this case, it is up to the individual to make adjustments which are safe and which do not disrupt the quiet enjoyment of the group.
1.4. ‘Quiet enjoyment’ of the group, may require limiting comments to immediate surroundings and experiences, and being quiet or not speaking when requested by the guide.
2. Booking
2.1 All events to be booked online are offered by Temple4 Forest Therapy.
3. Inclusions
3.1 These are listed in the relevant services and/or booking section of each page or, additionally, in respective flyers and fact sheets.
4. Acceptance
4.1 Your booking becomes valid after Temple4 Forest Therapy has received both your payment as specified and your completed booking form and you have received a confirmation email from us or the booking service.
4.2 A person making a group booking is presumed to have authority from other group members to act on their behalf.
4.3 We reserve the right to refuse to accept a booking based on the information revealed to us.
4.4 If you are unsure about your suitability for your preferred walk please ask.
5. Changes to Events
5.1 Temple4 Therapy reserves the right to alter walk itineraries at any time to ensure satisfactory operation of walks and events. Reasons could include but are not limited to weather, walking track or national park closures, road conditions, change of suppliers, availability of meals, fuel, other transport etc. necessary for the trip to operate smoothly and successfully.
6. Cancellation & Amendment Policy
6.1 In order to provide the highest level of service, cancellations and amendments made by a participant may be subject to fees. The policy applies to all Temple4 Forest Therapy events listed and booked through Temple4 Forest Therapy on a per person basis.
6.2 Cancellations made 48 hours or less before the start time of the Service will be subject to a charge of half the cost of the service.
6.3 Cancellations made within 24 hours or less before the start time of the Service will be subject to a charge of the full cost of the Service.
6.4 To avoid a cancellation fee, you must provide cancellation notice to us via email jennahmrose@outlook.com no less than 48 hours before the planned start time of the Service.
6.5 Late arrivals and no shows are non-refundable. This is applicable to any participant who fails to arrive or arrives after departure on a Forest Therapy walk.
6.6 Amendment requests are subject to availability and price changes.
6.7 From time to time, the terms of this policy may change at Temple4 Forest Therapy’s discretion. In the event of such changes, the new policy will apply for all walks and events after the date and time of the policy change. 6.8 Temple4 Forest Therapy will make every endeavour to get back to you within 24 hours with a full response.
7. Our Guides
7.1 All Temple4 Forest Therapy Guides are qualified as INFTA-Certified Forest Therapy Guides FTG. These Forest Therapy Guides are experienced, mature people who take their responsibilities seriously. They are responsible for all aspects of Forest Therapy walks and events including group safety, enjoyment and satisfactory operation of the event. We have authority to do whatever is necessary to achieve these objectives, including not allowing you to participate in specific walks for the overall safety and/or interests of the group. You agree to abide with the Forest Therapy Guides’ decisions.
8. Your Responsibility
8.1 It is your responsibility to read the Temple4 Forest Therapy material provided thoroughly and choose a walk or event within your ability. We prioritise accessible walks and trails, but our chosen routes may be affected by heavy rain, strong winds, high or low temperatures or other impediments caused by nature.
8.2 It is also your responsibility to bring water, suitable clothing and footwear and tell us of any relevant medical conditions, personal access requirements or special dietary requirements at the time of booking.
8.3 You are responsible for your own conduct during the trip and agree to indemnify Temple4 Forest Therapy against any consequent liabilities you may incur.
8.4 You also agree to follow the directions of your Forest Therapy Guide.
9. Assumption of Risk
9.1 You acknowledge that you have read and understand these booking conditions, and realise that Temple4 Forest Therapy may have greater risks than normal, because of likely remoteness from medical assistance, possible roughness of paths, changeability of local conditions, including potential extremes of hot or cold or wet weather, transport delays and personal injury or illness.
9.2 You acknowledge that you are choosing a walk in nature, where you are subject to greater risks than normally occurring at home or work, and this is part of the subsequent satisfaction gained from your effort expended.
9.3 You also acknowledge that walking tracks and/or national parks may be closed from time to time for various reasons including extreme weather events, and that we may not be able to conduct outdoor activities on these days.
10. Disclaimer, Release and Waiver of Liability
10.1 You agree that participation in the Services of Temple4 Forest Therapy does not constitute a form of medical treatment and will not necessarily result in a medical benefit to you.
10.2 You agree to release Temple4 Forest Therapy, its employees and representatives from all cost, liability, loss or damage incurred or suffered by you directly or indirectly during the trip, unless caused by our wilful negligence or wrongful act.
10.3 You agree to not make any claim or seek any compensation from Temple4 Forest Therapy, its employees and representatives for any cost, liability, loss, injury or damage incurred or suffered by you as a result of your participation in our walks or events.
10.4 You have considered the services of Temple4 Forest Therapy, their agents, owners, officers, volunteers, participants, employees, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf, and hereby agree to release, indemnify, and discharge Temple4 Forest Therapy, on behalf of yourself, your spouse, your children, your parents, your heirs, assigns, personal representative and estate as follows:
10.4.1.1 You acknowledge that outdoor activities in natural areas entail unknown and unanticipated risks that could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to yourself, to property, or to third parties. You understand that such risks simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardising the essential qualities of the activity. The risks include, among other things: Slipping and falling; falling objects; water hazards; exhaustion; exposure to temperature and weather extremes which could cause hypothermia, hyperthermia (heat related illnesses), heat exhaustion, sunburn, dehydration; and exposure to potentially dangerous wild animals, insect bites, and hazardous plant life; accidents or illness can occur in remote places without medical facilities and emergency treatment or other services rendered; consumption of food or drink; equipment failure; improper lifting or carrying; your own physical condition, and the physical exertion associated with this activity.
10.4.1.2 Furthermore, Temple4 Forest Therapy, staff have difficult jobs to perform. They seek safety, but they are not infallible. They might be unaware of a participant's fitness or abilities. They might misjudge the weather or other environmental conditions. They may give incomplete warnings or instructions, incorrect information, and the equipment being used might malfunction.
10.4.1.3 You expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks existing in this activity. Your participation in this activity is purely voluntary, and you elect to participate in spite of the risks.
10.4.1.4 You hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Temple4 Forest Therapy, from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action, which are in any way connected with your participation in this activity or your use of Temple4 Forest Therapy, equipment or facilities, including any such claims which allege negligent acts or omissions of Temple4 Forest Therapy.
10.4.1.5 Should Temple4 Forest Therapy, or anyone acting on their behalf, be required to incur attorney's fees and costs to enforce this agreement, you agree to indemnify and hold them harmless for all such fees and costs.
10.4.1.6 You certify that you have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage you may cause or suffer while participating, or else agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage yourself. You further certify that you are willing to assume the risk of any medical or physical condition you may have.
10.4.1.7 In the event that you file a lawsuit against Temple4 Forest Therapy, you agree to do so solely in the Melbourne Jurisdiction. You further agree that the substantive law of the State of Victoria shall apply in that action without regard to the conflict of law rules of that state. You agree that if any portion of this agreement is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
10.4.1.8 You acknowledge that if anyone is hurt or property is damaged during your participation in this activity, you may be found by a court of law to have waived your right to maintain a lawsuit against Temple4 Forest Therapy, on the basis of any claim from which you have released them herein.
10.4.1.9 You have had sufficient opportunity to read this entire document. You have read and understood it, and you agree to be bound by its terms.
11. Insurance
11.1 Temple4 Forest Therapy recommends that you have adequate insurance against injury, provision and access to remote medical services including helicopter evacuation, transport delays, cancellation costs and loss of luggage.
12. Payments
12.1 All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and payment may only be made in Australian dollars unless otherwise specified.
13. Complaints
13.1 We want to provide you with an enjoyable time in nature, but no matter how careful we are, things might sometimes go wrong. We would like to have complaints remedied as quickly as possible. If you have a difficulty or complaint during your trip, please immediately bring it to the notice of your guide. We care for your health and well-being and should be able to provide a remedy so you can continue to enjoy your trip.
13.2 If the problem cannot be resolved, contact Temple4 Forest Therapy immediately by phone or email.
14. Jurisdiction
14.1 This agreement and the rights and responsibilities of the parties will be construed and take effect in accordance with and be governed by the laws of Victoria.
15. Termination
15.1 Temple4 Forest Therapy reserves the right to terminate access, refuse service, terminate accounts, and/or cancel orders at its discretion and at any time without notice.
16. Disclaimer
16.1 The information contained within this website is provided by Temple4 Forest Therapy in good faith that the information is accurate and current and is represented in accordance with Australian law.
16.2 Temple4 Forest Therapy makes no representations or warranties of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the operation of the website or the information, content and materials, including the currency, accuracy or completeness, of any content or any information provided by third parties, on or through the website.
16.3 Temple4 Forest Therapy will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this website, including, but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.
16.4 Temple4 Forest Therapy will not guarantee that your access to the website or the functions contained within will be uninterrupted or error-free. Temple4 Forest Therapy will not guarantee that any errors will be corrected or that the website or the server is free of viruses, malicious computer code transmitted on or through the website or other harmful components.
16.5 All rights not expressly granted in these Terms and Conditions are reserved.
17. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
17.1 Temple4 Forest Therapy reserves the right to amend, change or omit this site at our discretion.
17.2 Temple4 Forest Therapy will have the right to amend the Terms and Conditions of this Contract where:
17.2.1 We need to do so in order to comply with changes in the law or for regulatory reasons: or
17.2.2 We need to correct any errors or omissions, as long as such correction in minor and does not materially affect the Contract.
17.3 You will receive immediate notice of any amendments made to the contract.
